Sterling Silver ” Cat Got The Cream Jug ” From Francis Howard

The cat has almost – almost – got his whiskers in the cream in this exquisite and witty sterling silver jug from Francis Howard. The jug is the traditional milk churn style, and is given a contemporary edge with its highly-polished finish. The curious little kitty has just managed to get his paws on the smooth lip of the jug – forming the purrfect handle. As you’d expect from Francis Howard, the cat is beautifully realised, with an appealing little face, a long curling tail, and textured fur. The jug also has a feature hallmark and subtle engraved lines towards the base. The jug is made from 925 sterling silver, hallmarked in the Sheffield Assay Office. Francis Howard established a silversmiths in the city in 1870, and his descendants craft stunning silverware in Sheffield to this day.
